Description

Ugolforte is a Brunello di Montalcino from Tenuta San Giorgio, produced in the south-eastern area of Montalcino, at Castelnuovo dell’Abate, from vineyards located between 250 and 400 meters above sea level. Made from Sangiovese grapes grown according to the principles of organic farming, it authentically expresses the character of the territory, thanks to poor and rocky soils rich in minerals that contribute to giving structure, elegance, and depth.

The grapes, carefully hand-harvested and selected, are vinified in oak and cement vats with long macerations to best extract aromas and tannic components. After fermentation, the wine undergoes a long aging in large Slavonian oak barrels, which allows the structure to harmonize and develops complexity and balance.

To the eye, it displays a ruby red color enriched with garnet hues. On the nose, it reveals an intense and refined profile, while on the palate it stands out for elegance and drinkability, with a dense and silky tannic texture supported by a fresh acidity that leads to a long and harmonious finish.

It pairs perfectly with hearty meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses.
