Description
This Chardonnay was born on Robert Mondavi's Woodbridge estate, located near Lodi, in the county of San Joaquin in California.
It is produced with 100% Chardonnay grapes, carefully picked and selected by hand. After a very soft pressing, the must is left to ferment in stainless steel drums where it perfects many of its organoleptic characteristics. The wine then evolves for at least 5-6 months in oak barrels, before being bottled.
Woodbridge Chardonnay has a deep straw yellow color. The olfactory component is subtle, with a decisive and elegant green apple scent that accompanies more delicate floral notes. In the mouth it shows a wine with robust structure and excellent balance, with hints of apple and cinnamon that cheer the palate in a rather persistent finish.
It marries divinely with smoked salmon but also with white meats and first courses. Ideal for the aperitif moment.
