Description
Maèntu Cannonau di Sardegna is a dry red wine made from Cannonau grapes, expressing with intensity the warm, wild, Mediterranean character of Sardinia.
Winemaking is carried out to enhance the aromatic richness and natural structure of the variety, promoting a balanced extraction of color and tannins and an aging focused on smoothness and harmony.
On the nose it releases intense aromas of ripe red fruits, Mediterranean scrub, myrtle, spices and subtle notes of licorice; on the palate it is full-bodied, structured and enveloping, with round tannins, a bold personality and a very long finish.
It pairs well with roast meats, game, Pecorino Sardo, porceddu, malloreddus alla campidanese, culurgiones with sauce and kid goat with myrtle.
