Description

Rosa Grande from cantina Mesa is a Sardinian rosé wine made from Syrah and Vermentino grapes, born in the Sulcis area, at the south-western tip of Sardinia, in a setting almost surrounded by the sea and constantly influenced by salty winds. The vineyards grow on Pleistocene soils, formed by alluvial deposits and wind-blown sandstones, with a sandy-clay texture, well-structured and rich in mineral elements.

The grapes, after destemming, are chilled at a low temperature before pressing, to preserve freshness, aromatic finesse, and fruit integrity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by aging in the same vessel for a few months, with the aim of enhancing the wine's fragrant and mineral profile.

In the glass, it shows a bright coral pink color. On the nose it expresses elegance and finesse, with delicate floral notes accompanied by hints of citrus and nuances of white fruit; on the palate it is fresh, savory, and harmonious, with medium structure and a long, clean, and pleasantly intriguing finish.

Ideal as an aperitif, it pairs well with fish starters, fish or legume soups, linguine with sea urchins, and white meats.
