Description
Quintaluna is a wine that originates from the pre-phylloxera vineyard of Nieva, with vines resting in sandy soils surrounded by pine forests. This Verdejo showcases the utmost expression and freshness of the variety, reflecting a terroir with centuries of winemaking history.
The harvest is done manually in crates, with a light pressing of the clusters after selection. Fermentation occurs in small stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. The wine matures on its lees for nine months in stainless steel, foudre, and barriques, before being clarified and bottled.
On the nose, it presents lively notes of white fruits, citrus, and white flowers, with mineral undertones. On the palate, it is fresh and unctuous, with a pleasant acidity and a persistent finish that echoes the minerality of its terroir.
This wine pairs perfectly with fish dishes, shellfish, or fresh cheeses.
