Description

Codorníu Clásico Rosado is a rosé cava produced in the D.O. Cava region with a blend of Garnatxa, Pinot Noir, and Trepat, varieties that best express the character of the Penedès terroir. This sparkling wine represents the rosé version of the Clásico line, one of the most traditional cavas from the historic Codorníu house, and is appreciated for its fresh, fruity, and elegant style.

The production begins with the selection of the ideal harvest time to obtain grapes with good color concentration and balanced acidity. After destemming, the skins remain in contact with the must for several hours to extract the characteristic rosé color. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, followed by the blending of the musts and bottling with liqueur de tirage to start the second fermentation according to the traditional method, with a maturation period on the lees in underground cellars.

In the glass, it shows a medium to intense pink color and a fine perlage. The nose reveals aromas of red fruits, jam, and cassis, accompanied by delicate pastry and yeast notes due to maturation on the lees. On the palate, it is fresh, balanced, and pleasantly fruity, with a smooth texture and good persistence.

Perfect as an aperitif or paired with flavorful fish dishes, rice dishes, tapas, and fried fish.
