Chablis AOC 2016 Domaine Colette Gros
Description
The Chablis of the Domaine Colette Gros comes from one of the most suitable places in the world for the cultivation and subsequent vinification of Chardonnay. The area is that of Chablis, a municipality located north-west of Burgundy.
It consists of 100% Chardonnay grapes, harvested with meticulous care from the vineyards owned by this small winery which, today, has reached its fifth generation. There are 19 parcels located around Chablis from which the precious grapes are drawn. These, once transported to the cellar and pressed, give rise to the must which is fermented in steel tanks. It follows an aging on its fine lees of about 6 months.
A straw yellow color, at sight, suggests the delicacy and finesse of the wine. Its perfume is presented in a charm made of flowers and white fruit, refined with a citrus trace and inserted on a mineral background. In the mouth it reveals in the fresh and savory intertwining all the class that distinguishes it, summarized in balance and persistence.
Excellent to accompany a delicate seafood salad.
