Description

The Chianti Gran Selezione Castello Fonterutoli by Mazzei originates from the vineyards located in Castellina in Chianti, at the heart of the historic Chianti Classico denomination.

This wine is obtained from the vinification of Sangiovese, Colorino, and Malvasia Nera grapes, selected and harvested manually starting from the end of September. After the fermentation and maceration processes, the product is aged in small oak barrels for about twenty months. This is followed by bottling and aging in glass, before being released on the market.

It is characterized by a very intense ruby red color. The nose offers an elegant floral bouquet with notes of cloves and red rose that blend well with the typical scents of berries and spices. On the palate, it is smooth and very tasty, with a great structure well accompanied by firm but smooth tannins.

This Gran Selezione finds its perfect companion in truffle-based dishes, also excellent with mature cheeses, stewed meats, and game.
