Description

Fontodi Chianti Classico from Azienda Agricola Fontodi is made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes grown in the estate’s vineyards.

The grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and are macerated in stainless steel tanks, equipped with plungers and temperature control, for at least 2 weeks. The wine then matures in Tronçais and Allier barriques for 18 months before bottling.

This is a quintessential Chianti Classico, displaying a ruby red color and delightful violet notes alongside hints of ripe red fruit. On the palate, it is savory, with excellent structure and soft, rounded tannins. The finish is long and persistent.

Perfect with pasta dishes featuring meat ragù and mushroom risottos, it is also ideal for pairing with grilled red meats, braised dishes, and game.
