Description

The Chianti Classico from Isole e Olena comes from the estate vineyards located in San Donato in Poggio, in the province of Florence.

It is made from 90% Sangiovese grapes and 10% Canaiolo grapes, harvested partly by hand and partly mechanically at the beginning of October. Fermented in steel to maintain purity and freshness, it ages in large barrels for 12 months and then six months in the bottle.

It has a ruby red color. The bouquet is intense and full, with hints of red and black berries, shades of violet, and notes of undergrowth and wood. On the palate, it reveals itself to be round and velvety, with a good structure and vibrant acidity. Overall, it is elegant, with a long, pleasantly aromatic finish.

Perfect for accompanying grilled white and red meats, it’s ideal paired with aged cheeses.
