Chianti Classico DOCG La Selvanella Riserva 2012 Melini

The Chianti Classico Riserva La Selvanella delle Fattorie Melini was born in vineyards located in the municipality of Radda in Chianti, in the province of Siena.

It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes, harvested towards the end of October. After a 20-day maceration, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 27 ° C. Subsequently the wine ages in barriques for 30 months before being bottled.

The Chianti Classico La Selvanella is characterized by a dark ruby color, with slight garnet reflections. The nose opens with ample and complex aromas of raspberry and iris jam, enriched with pleasant spicy notes of vanilla, cinnamon and leather. In the mouth it is warm, full and savory, with an elegant and persistent undergrowth and toasted almond aftertaste. Wine with excellent aging potential, in optimal conditions it can be stored for up to 10 - 12 years.

Perfect to accompany red meats and game, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
