Description

Chianti Classico Riserva Doccio a Matteo is an intense and refined red wine produced by Caparsa in Radda in Chianti. Primarily made from Sangiovese grapes with a small addition of Colorino, it authentically interprets the character of the region through a vibrant, elegant, and deeply traditional Chianti style. The galestro and alberese-rich soils lend the wine tension, freshness, and a pronounced mineral identity.

The grapes are hand-harvested with careful selection in the vineyard. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, without filtration, to preserve integrity and expressive purity. The wine then ages in medium-sized oak barrels, developing balance, aromatic complexity, and a fine, harmonious tannic structure.

It displays a bright ruby red color. The bouquet reveals lively notes of dark fruits and small red berries, accompanied by subtle spicy nuances. On the palate it is fresh and dynamic, with elegant tannins, crisp acidity, and a streamlined sip that leads to a persistent, savory finish.

Perfect pairing with roasts, grilled red meats, flavorful first courses, porcini mushrooms, and aged cheeses.
