Chianti Classico DOCG Tenuta Sant'Alfonso 2015 Rocca delle Macie

The Chianti Classico Tenuta Sant 'Alfonso of the Rocca delle Macie winery was born in the heart of the Chianti Classico area, in Tuscany.

It is produced in purity from Sangiovese grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand in Tenuta Sant 'Alfonso, the place from which it takes its name. The fermentation takes place at controlled temperature after which the wine ages initially in French oak barrels for a period of at least 1 year and then in the bottle before being released on the market.

This Chianti Classico is characterized by a very intense ruby red color. On the nose it gives great complexity and richness with notes of ripe red fruit and delicate spices. The taste is warm and soft with a pleasantly tannic finish.

Ideal as an accompaniment to oven roasted pork with potatoes, it is perfect if combined with pork tenderloin or stewed meat.
