Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG Riserva di Monna Lisa 2013 Vignamaggio
Description
The Chianti Classico Riserva of Monna Lisa di Vignamaggio was born in vineyards located in the Florentine municipality of Greve in Chianti, in the heart of the Chianti Classico DOCG.
It is mainly produced with Sangiovese grapes and with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, carefully picked and selected by hand in the first ten days of October. Fermentation takes place, with maceration, in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for 16-18 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 18-20 months in French oak barrels, for 7-9 months in large barrels and for 3 months in bottle, before being released on the market.
The Riserva di Monna Lisa di Vignamaggio is characterized by a deep ruby red color, developing garnet reflections with aging. The nose opens with intense and persistent hints of spices and tobacco, enriched with notes of oak and berries. On the palate it is full, warm and persistent.
Perfect to accompany game and noble poultry, it is ideal in combination with red meats and aged cheeses.
