Description
The Colli Maceratesi Ribona Monteferro of Villa Forano was born in vineyards located on the hill of the same name, in the area of Appignano, Macerata.
It is produced exclusively with Ribona grapes, selected and harvested by hand at the beginning of October. The grapes are softly pressed in a whole bunch, then fermented in steel at a controlled temperature. Part of the fine lees are fermented and aged in barriques for about 5 months, after which they are combined with the wine, which rests in the bottle for about 6 months.
Ribona Monteferro is a straw yellow wine enriched with golden reflections. The bouquet is intense and persistent, with notes of ripe exotic fruit, spiced cooked fruit, honey and chamomile. On the palate it is fresh, dry and soft, with great intensity and persistence accompanied by an excellent structure.
Perfect to accompany first and second courses based on white, red and game meat, it is ideal in combination with legume and mushroom soups, baked fish, cold cuts and aged cheeses.
