Description
Rosso Kepos di Ampelaia originates in the Tuscan area of the province of Grosseto, in its part closest to the coast.
It consists of a blend of red berried grape varieties in which Alicante Nero represents the backbone, flanked by Carignano and Alicante Bouschet. The coastal area enriches the wine with a very particular floral and mineral profile. The harvest takes place in September, with the possibility of continuing this phase also in early October. After an aging of 11 months in concrete tanks, Kepos ages for a further 7 months in bottle.
At sight it shows a ruby red color of good intensity. The bouquet is divided into floral and red fruit notes, set against a predominant and engaging background of Mediterranean scrub and a light spice of cinnamon. It confirms its character in the mouth, where it is affirmed with a full and decisive body.
