Description

The Daunia Nero di Troia Il Guerro from the Paolo Petrilli winery is born in vineyards located in the countryside of Lucera, a historic city in the north of Puglia.

It is produced exclusively with Nero di Troia grapes. After a soft pressing and destemming, the grapes ferment at a controlled temperature of 24-26 ° C for 11 days, with manual punching down. Subsequently the wine ages for 12 months in barrique and for a further year in steel tanks, before being bottled.

It is characterized by an intense red color. The nose opens with elegant hints of red fruits, blueberries and plums, enriched with pleasant floral notes. On the palate it is pleasantly powerful, with fine tannins.

Perfect to accompany grilled and roasted red meats, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
