Description

Dolcetto d’Alba “Falletto” is a red wine from Piedmont produced by Bruno Giacosa, a historic winery of the Langhe recognized for enhancing native grape varieties and for its rigorous, traditional style. Made from Dolcetto grapes cultivated in the Falletto vineyard located in the municipality of Serralunga d’Alba, one of the area's most renowned terroirs, this wine offers a true expression of Langhe Dolcetto, blending immediacy, elegance, and a strong bond with the Piedmontese terroir.

After harvest, the grapes are destemmed and undergo alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the pure aromas of the varietal. Once fermentation is complete, the wine matures in medium-sized wooden barrels for several months, followed by further aging in the bottle, which helps to harmonize the structure and define its final profile.

In the glass, it displays an intense and bright ruby red color. The bouquet is rich and fragrant, revealing aromas of black cherry, blackberry, and wild berries, complemented by floral nuances and subtle spicy hints. The palate is full and juicy, supported by good freshness and soft tannins that provide balance and elegance through to a persistent and harmonious finish.

It pairs very well with traditional Piedmontese cured meats, pasta with meat ragout, filled pastas, roasted or grilled meats, and medium-aged cheeses.
