Description

What kind of wine is it

Franciacorta Extra Brut Cuvée Prestige from Ca’ del Bosco is a Traditional Method wine crafted from a blend showcasing Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Blanc. It is created by combining base wines with the addition of prestigious reserve wines, resulting in a balanced style of absolute precision. Ageing on the lees for twenty-eight months defines an elegant profile, fresh and fruity, offering remarkable complexity.

Where it comes from

This wine comes from the Franciacorta appellation and is the result of a careful selection of grapes harvested from one hundred thirty-four parcels. Its origin in a hilly context supports a clear and recognizable expression, perfectly in line with the producer's style. This label aims to be a faithful territorial synthesis, able to ensure a consistent overall character in each blend.

How it is made

The grapes are hand-picked and vinified separately to preserve the characteristics of each variety. The grapes are chilled, meticulously selected and pressed whole. The different base wines are then blended together with reserve vintages. The prolonged aging on the lees before release gives the wine great structure, remarkable balance and deep finesse.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it displays a bright straw yellow color, in keeping with the Extra Brut style. The bouquet releases notes of peach and citrus, enriched by almond nuances that define a clean nose. On the palate it is fresh and fruity, with a lively flow and a balanced finish. The extended maturation period also gives the sip an evident compactness.

Food pairing

It is extremely suitable to accompany light starters, as it offers lively freshness and a clear definition on the palate. It is the perfect companion for fish dishes and seafood cruditès, as it supports the primary ingredients with subtlety. It also pairs beautifully with fresh cheeses and successfully enhances classic preparations such as seafood salad or a good seafood risotto.

When to serve it

This Franciacorta easily adapts to a variety of occasions, thanks to its classic and rigorous character. Its innate elegance makes it appealing when a precise and clearly expressive sip is desired. It is the ideal option to accompany entire seafood menus and shines particularly in social settings requiring absolute finesse and a light, drinkable style.
