Gavi DOCG del Comune di Gavi Monterotondo 2014 Villa Sparina
Description
The Gavi Monterotondo of Villa Sparina was born in vineyards located in the historic area of Monterotondo, in the Alexandrian municipality of Gavi. This label represents the Cru of the Villa Sparina company.
It is produced with pure Cortese grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand between the end of September and the beginning of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 19-20 ° C, for 3 weeks. Subsequently the wine ages for 4 months in barriques, for 4 months in steel and for a further 12 months in bottle.
Villa Sparina's Gavi Monterotondo has a bright golden-yellow color. The nose opens with intense aromas of pear and citrus, enriched with pleasant spicy notes. On the palate it is fresh and elegant, with a savory minerality.
Perfect to accompany first courses and fresh cheeses, this white wine is ideal in combination with fish and shellfish.
