Description

Gevrey-Chambertin is a renowned red wine from Burgundy, France, specifically from the Côte de Nuits subregion. It is produced exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes, selected from a 3.18-hectare vineyard with vines aged between 20 and 70 years, growing on clay-limestone soils.

The grapes are harvested by hand. The wine undergoes an aging period of 16 months, including 5 months in vats and 11 months in oak barrels, 30% of which are new barrels. This process ensures a balanced maturation, enhancing the organoleptic characteristics of Pinot Noir.

On tasting, Gevrey-Chambertin stands out for its intense aromas of red and black fruits, with a remarkable structure that combines depth and smoothness, culminating in a full and balanced finish. These qualities reflect the essence of the Gevrey-Chambertin terroir and the mastery in winemaking.

This wine pairs perfectly with red meats, meat-based dishes with sauce, game, and aged cheeses. It has an aging potential ranging from 5 to 10 years, during which it can further develop its aromatic complexity.
