Gioia del Colle DOC Primitivo 17 Vigneto Montevella 2011 Polvanera

The Gioia del Colle Primitivo 17 of Polvanera was born in vineyards located in the municipality of Acquaviva delle Fonti, in Montevella.

It is produced exclusively with Primitivo grapes, harvested only by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for 4 weeks. Subsequently the wine ages in the same containers for 18 months and for a further 12 months in bottle.

Primitivo 17 is characterized by a purple red color, with ruby reflections. The nose opens with a rich and intense bouquet of berries, blackberries and plums, enriched with pleasant floral and vegetable notes. On the palate it is imposing, elegant and austere, with pleasantly smooth tannins. The wine has a long and persistent finish.

Perfect to accompany meat and game ragout dishes, it is ideal in combination with stews and roasts.
