Description
This aged grappa is produced in Tuscany by the young winery Vallepicciola, located in the area of Pievasciata, in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the province of Siena, where it manages 105 hectares of vineyards following the principles of sustainable agriculture.
Made from Sangiovese and Merlot pomace using batch distillation in steam-heated copper stills. It ages for 12 months in French oak barrels before bottling.
In the glass it is amber-yellow and reveals complex yet delicate aromas, with notes of red fruits, a citrus hint of grapefruit and a sweet note of vanilla. The palate is rich and enveloping, with a long finish.
Vallepicciola’s aged grappa is ideal at the end of a meal, served neat.
