Description

The Shiraz of the Groot Constantia company is produced in South Africa in the Constantia area with 100% grapes.

The grapes are influenced by the sea breezes coming from the Atlantic and the ripening is accompanied by a Mediterranean climate. After harvesting, fermentation takes place in closed steel vats while a portion of whole bunches ferments in open steel vats with manual pumping over. The wine then matures for 12 months in barrels of different ages and sizes.

Intense ruby red in colour, it has hints of black pepper, licorice and coriander. On the palate it is fresh and shows slightly spicy and spicy aromas, well modulated by the ageing in wood, for a slender sip, very fine tannins and a long persistence.

Perfect for grilled lamb accompanied by vegetables and first courses with white sauces.
