Description

This wine is obtained from vineyards located on Mount Loiser and is surrounded by typical mountain flora and fauna. The soils here are embellished with a particular schist rock formation called Gföhler Gneis, which brings a characteristic mineral trait to the wines.

Brundlmayer's Ried Berg Vogelsang is a pure Grüner Veltliner. Once the bunches are harvested and pressed, the must obtained is left to ferment at rather low temperatures. A maturation in large oak barrels allows to smooth the strength of the acid component and makes the wine ready for bottling.

The color of this Grüner Veltliner is straw yellow. The bouquet opens, like a fan, a fragrant floral and fruity outfit, centered on apple, pear and clear citrus flavors. A nice spice is the background with notes of cloves. On the palate the citrus and spicy traits reminiscent that refer to anise, combined with a clear and vivid flavor that gives this wine an elegant and at the same time drinkable connotation.

Perfect in combination with first and second courses of fish or first courses based on pork. Also suitable to accompany some medium-aged cheeses with a good fat component.
