Description
What kind of wine it is
Moroso by Pier Paolo Grasso is a white wine from the Langhe made from Arneis grapes. It shows a bright straw-yellow color and a profile driven by delicate fruit and flowers. It is a fresh, saline white, with a velvety palate that makes it a versatile food wine.
Where it comes from
Work in the vineyard and in the cellar is founded on respect for the land, which the estate borrows from future generations and must return in good condition. This idea is summed up by the word "Vinnoviamo" on the labels, a play on words that links environmental care to a thoughtful way of making wine. In Neive, the estate has built a winery that reflects this philosophy, with carefully chosen materials, a sustainable environmental footprint and spaces dedicated to guests, where you can take a break and savor the wine at leisure.
How it is made
Moroso is made exclusively from Arneis grapes. Maturation takes place in stainless-steel tanks, a choice that preserves the purity of the fruit and the precision of the aromas, letting the grape’s varietal character emerge without interference.
Tasting notes
To the eye it is bright straw-yellow. The aromatic profile opens with notes of apricot and chamomile, followed by aromatic herbs such as thyme and sage, mineral nuances, and hints of camphor and incense. On the palate it is velvety, saline and very fresh, closing with a long floral finish.
Food pairings
It is excellent as an aperitif and pairs naturally with shellfish, both raw and grilled. It also goes well with large baked fish, poultry and feathered game, where freshness and salinity balance the succulence of the meat.
When to serve it
It is a Langhe Arneis suited to the aperitif as well as dinners based on fish and shellfish. A medium-sized glass enhances its floral and fruity aromas, making it a pleasant choice for light lunches and convivial evenings.
