Description
Ferdinando Principiano's Nebbiolo Coste originates near the Monforte d'Alba area, in the Piedmontese Langa.
The grapes come mostly from the Le Coste vineyard, characterized by 40-year-old vines exposed to the south-east and south-west, and for a smaller share from the Boscareto. The alcoholic fermentation of the must is carried out only by the action of indigenous yeasts. The vinification ends with a 10-month refinement in steel tanks and, subsequently, in the bottle.
The color of this Nebbiolo is clear and bright ruby red. The perfume is marked by a floral imprint reminiscent of rose petals and violet, placed on a background of raspberry and red fruit. In the mouth it turns out to be an elegant but very pleasant wine.
Ideal in accompaniment to a Piedmontese cut of Fassona knife cut and seasoned with a simple drizzle of oil and salt.
