Description

Located on the Cantenac plateau overlooking the Garonne river, the terroir of Château Kirwan proves to be unique within the Margaux appellation. It is a wine produced from the best plots of the vineyard, planted mainly on gravelly soils, sometimes mixed with clay.

The harvest takes place manually with double selection. This is followed by vinification in separate batches, each corresponding to a specific plot of the vineyard. The refinement takes place for 18 months in barriques, half of which are renewed every year

It presents an elegant garnet red color. Enchanting aromas of red and black berry fruit emerge on the nose, enhanced by spicy nuances. The entry into the mouth is fresh and pleasant, opening onto a fruity and gradually more intense palate, full of personality.

Ideal food pairings include mushrooms, duck dishes and red meats in general.
