Barbera del Monferrato DOC 2016 Villa Sparina

Barbera del Monferrato di Villa Sparina was born in vineyards located in the municipality of Gavi, in the province of Alessandria.

It is produced with 100% Barbera grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand in the first half of October. Fermentation takes place, with maceration in contact with the skins, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 27 ° C for 2 weeks. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages mainly in barriques and steel for at least 12 months, followed by a further period of aging in bottle.

This Barbera del Monferrato of Villa Sparina has a bright ruby red color, tending to purple. The nose opens with a large and deep bouquet of black cherry and mint, enriched with elegant notes of pepper and vanilla. On the palate full and rich, with pleasant enveloping and softness that accompany a pleasantly long and fruity finish.

Perfect to accompany first courses and aged cheeses, this white wine is ideal in combination with red meat and game.
