Description

The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Cocciapazza from Torre dei Beati originates from vineyards located in the municipality of Loreto Aprutino, in the province of Pescara. It is made from pure Montepulciano grapes, which are harvested and carefully selected entirely by hand.

Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with a 30-day maceration on the skins. The wine then ages for 20-22 months in predominantly new barriques before being bottled.

The Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Cocciapazza from Torre dei Beati shows an intense, deep ruby-red colour. On the nose, it reveals characteristic aromas of red fruits, perfectly balanced with notes of black pepper, liquorice, chocolate, and tobacco. On the palate, it is structured and full-bodied, with soft tannins and a pleasantly long, persistent finish.

Excellent with meat ragù pasta dishes, it pairs well with stewed meats, game, and mature cheeses.
