Description
The Rubiolo is a Montepulciano d’Abruzzo from the Orlandi Contucci Ponno winery, made from grapes grown in Roseto degli Abruzzi on loamy-sandy soils with a south/southwest exposure. It is an immediate and generous red, which enhances the varietal typicity in a daily but characterful version.
The winemaking begins with crushing-destemming followed by fermentation in steel. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in the bottle for about four months before being marketed.
It shows an intense amaranth red color, with a varietal aroma of ripe red fruits. On the palate, it is savory, full, with soft and well-integrated tannins that offer a harmonious and pleasant sip.
Ideal with gratin pies, white or red meat dishes, and medium-aged cheeses.
