Description

The Nizza “Dani” by Villa Giada is a red wine made from Barbera grapes sourced from historic vineyards located on marl-limestone soils, in the heart of Piedmont. The grapes are grown following the principles of integrated pest management and are hand-harvested to ensure careful selection of the raw material and respect for the natural balance of the vineyard.

Vinification involves alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled steel tanks, with a maceration on the skins of at least two weeks to extract color and structure. Subsequently, the wine matures in small oak barrels for at least twelve months, followed by an additional period of bottle aging, which promotes its evolution and harmony.

On the eye, it shows an intense ruby red color with deep violet reflections. The nose offers enveloping aromas of ripe wild berries and morello cherry, evolving into more complex and spicy notes. On the palate it is full-bodied and well-structured, with a pleasant mineral component that accompanies the persistent finish.

It pairs perfectly with the great dishes of the Piedmontese tradition and with rich, structured preparations.
