Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG Argille Bianche 2011 Tenuta Sant'Antonio
Description
The Recioto della Valpolicella Argille Bianche di Sant'Antonio comes from vineyards located in Monti Garbi, in the Veronese municipality of Mezzane di Sotto.
It is mainly produced with Corvina grapes and with Rondinella, Croatina and Oseleta grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. After a 4-month drying process, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a maximum temperature of 22-23 ° C. Subsequently the wine ages for 36 months in second passage tonneaux, before being bottled.
The white clay of Sant'Antonio has an intense ruby red color, very concentrated. The nose opens with elegant hints of cherry, blueberry and black currant, with notes of cocoa. On the palate it is sweet and velvety, with a pleasantly spicy, enveloping and warm aftertaste.
Perfect to accompany dark chocolate and dry pastries, this sweet wine is ideal in combination with spicy or seasoned blue cheeses.
