Roero DOCG 2016 Malvirà
Description
Roero Classico di Malvirà is a Nebbiolo that expresses the Roero territory in Piedmont in a precise and linear way.
It originates from the vineyards cultivated with Nebbiolo - grape variety that makes up this red in purity - located in Trinità and Renesio. Here the soils are defined by clay and limestone profile, with a sandy tendency. Following the harvest, carried out in October, the grapes ferment in steel tanks, then refine in wood for 20 months. A final period of 12 months in the bottle makes the wine ready for marketing.
The sight is ruby red in color and the nose is marked by hints of raspberry, black currant and strawberries, with a slight hint of spices. In the mouth it is well structured and has a very fine tannic texture. It persists in a delicately spicy and fruity memory.
Excellent with a roast turkey with chestnuts.
