Description

Rosso Piceno Colle del Buffo from Terra Fageto is a red wine made from Montepulciano and Sangiovese grapes grown in the Campofilone area. Close to the coast, the vineyards are located at approximately 250 meters above sea level on predominantly clay soils.

The grapes are hand-harvested during the first two weeks of September and fermented in stainless steel at a controlled temperature for at least 12-15 days. This is followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation in steel until mid-November. The wine is then aged 12 months in stainless steel and 6 months in the bottle.

Intense, impenetrable ruby red in color, it releases dense and refined aromas of black cherry, currant, and blackberry. On the palate, it is warm and harmonious, with a good intensity of cherry notes, soft tannins, solid structure, and noticeable persistence.

Suitable for flavorful first courses with red sauces, it is perfect for grilled red meats and aged cheeses.
