Description
Inglenook's Cabernet Sauvignon is a red wine from the Rutherford denomination in Napa Valley, produced exclusively from organically grown grapes on the Inglenook estate. Created as a tribute to John Daniel Jr. and the storied tradition of the property founded by Gustave Niebaum, it represents a classic and refined expression of Californian Cabernet Sauvignon.
The blend is composed mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon with a small percentage of Cabernet Franc, sourced from select parcels of the estate. Maturation takes place for about nineteen months in French oak, with a portion of new barrels, promoting integration between fruit, structure, and aromatic complexity.
In the glass, it displays a deep and intense ruby color. The nose offers enveloping aromas of wild black cherry, vanilla, warm brioche, and crème de cassis; on the palate, notes of red cherry, graphite, and fennel emerge, supported by polished tannins, good tension, and a long, fragrant finish.
It pairs elegantly with beef tenderloin, rack of lamb, or flavorful roasts, enhancing its structure and finesse.
