Südtirol - Alto Adige DOC Gewürztraminer Vigna Kolbenhof 2021 Hofstätter

Hofstätter's Alto Adige Gewürztraminer Vigna Kolbenhof was born from a careful selection of a vineyard located in the homonymous Kolbenhof estate, in one of the great crus of the South Tyrolean Gewürztraminer.

It is produced with pure Gewürztraminer grapes, harvested exclusively by hand. After a soft pressing and a short maceration in contact with the skins, in order to enhance the varietal characteristics, the fermentation takes place in steel at controlled temperature undergoing various batonnage. Subsequently the wine ages on the fine lees for 8 months, before being bottled.

Hofstätter's Gewürztraminer Vigna Kolbenhof has an intense straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose opens with an intensely fruity bouquet in which notes of peach and apricot stand out, which are intertwined with others of lychee, mango and passion fruit. On the palate it is decisive and fine, with great freshness and persistence.

Ideal in combination with shellfish and structured fish, it is perfect together with foie gras and typical Thai dishes.
