Description

The Pinot Noir Alto Adige DOC from Adler von Klausen is a classic red that elegantly reflects the character of the grape variety and the South Tyrolean territory. Grown at an altitude between 420 and 750 meters on the south and southeast-facing slopes of the Isarco Valley, it benefits from ideal conditions for balanced ripening. The alluvial soils, enriched by porphyritic sediments and calcareous deposits from dolomitic rock, provide structure and complexity to the wine.

The winemaking process involves traditional maceration on the skins in temperature-controlled steel tanks. This is followed by malolactic fermentation and a period of aging on the fine lees in large wooden barrels, a technique that enhances the wine's softness and depth without overpowering its natural freshness.

In appearance, it presents a brilliant ruby red color. On the nose, it offers an intense bouquet with a velvety texture and well-balanced tannins. On the palate, it is dry, full-bodied, and lively, with a pleasant acidic note that extends its persistence and enhances its drinkability.

It pairs excellently with game meats, spit-roasted dishes, stews, and spicy cheeses.
