Terre di Pisa DOC Rosso Veneroso 2013 Tenuta di Ghizzano
Description
The Terre di Pisa Rosso Veneroso of Tenuta di Ghizzano is born in vineyards located in the Pisan town of Peccioli, in the heart of Tuscany.
It is mainly produced with Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested only by hand. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts takes place in open 30 hl oak vats at a controlled temperature of 28-30 ° C. Subsequently the wine ages in oak barrels for 16 months and a further 12 months in bottle before being released on the market.
Il Veneroso is characterized by a bright ruby red color, with violet hues. The nose opens with elegant aromas of black cherry and plum, enriched with pleasant spicy notes of tobacco, mint and vanilla. On the palate it is warm and pleasantly structured, with elegant and enveloping tannins.
Perfect to accompany dishes with meat sauce and stewed meats, it is ideal in combination with game and roasts.
