Description
The Calanìca of the Duca di Salaparuta winery is a Sicilian wine made from 100% Nero d'Avola grapes.
The vineyards grow on limestone-siliceous hills a few meters above sea level. After harvesting by hand in the second half of September, the grapes ferment with maceration and refine in steel for a few months before bottling.
Ruby red in color with violet reflections, it has an intense olfactory profile with cherry and raspberry. On the palate it is broad and velvety, with good structure and great aromatic persistence.
A wine for first courses based on fish, it is also suitable for white meats.
