Description

Terre Siciliane Nero d'Avola Passo delle Mule was born in the vineyard of the Suor Marchesa di Duca di Salaparuta estate, located in the municipality of Butera on the Riesi axis, in the province of Caltanissetta.

It is made from 100% Nero d'Avola grapes, harvested and selected by hand in the second half of September. Fermentation takes place, with maceration, at a controlled temperature of 28-30 ° C for about 8 days. Subsequently the wine ages in oak barriques for at least 10 months and in bottle for the next 6-8 months.

It has an intense ruby red color. It opens to the nose with an enveloping scent of morello cherry and raspberry, enriched with spicy notes of vanilla. On the palate it is broad and velvety, with austere and well-structured tannins. It closes with a pleasantly aromatic and persistent finish.

This red wine is perfect to accompany red meat dishes and well-aged cheeses.
