Description
Il Pino di Biserno is a red wine produced by Tenuta di Biserno from the vineyards of Bibbona, a unique territory that expresses great character and complexity. The blend is mainly composed of Cabernet Franc, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and a small percentage of Petit Verdot. The vines, cultivated on clayey soils and Bolgheri conglomerates, reach a density of 6,500 vines per hectare.
The grapes are hand-selected on a vibrating table, destemmed, and vinified separately. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration occur in stainless steel for 3-4 weeks at a maximum temperature of 28°C, followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation. 75% of the wine matures in French oak barrels, both new and second use, for 12 months, while the remaining 25% rests in steel to preserve its freshness.
In appearance, it shows an intense and bright ruby red color. The aromatic profile is complex, dominated by dark fruits and spices, with hints of Mediterranean scrub and a pleasant toasted touch. On the palate, it is full and enveloping, with a lively structure, well-integrated tannins, and a persistence that underscores its evolutionary potential.
Ideal to pair with grilled red meats or spiced roasts.
