Description
The Toscana Rosso Crognolo from Tenuta Sette Ponti is produced in Castiglion Fibocchi, in the province of Arezzo, from vineyards located at an altitude of 250 meters above sea level with an age of 10-20 years.
It is mainly made from Sangiovese grapes and a small portion of Merlot. The must ferments with maceration in contact with the skins for 20 days. This is followed by aging for 14 months in French oak barrels and an additional 5-6 months in the bottle before being released on the market.
Ruby red in color, Crognolo offers an intense fruity aroma on the nose, accompanied by delicate spicy notes. On the palate, it is round and balanced, with notes of ripe cherry and berries.
It pairs excellently with fine meats, noble game, and braised red meats.
