Description

The Toscana Rosso I Sodi di San Niccolò di Castellare di Castellina comes from vineyards located in the municipality of Castellina in Chianti.

It is mainly produced from Sangiovese and Malvasia Nera grapes, harvested after the middle of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 ° C for 15-18 days. Subsequently the wine ages in barriques for up to 30 months, depending on the vintage, and for a further 12 months in bottle.

Characterized by an intense red color, with garnet reflections, it opens to the nose with an intense bouquet of hints of cherries, enriched with pleasant spicy notes. On the palate it is soft and full, with velvety tannins and a pleasantly fruity finish.

Perfect to accompany cold cuts and red meats, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
