Description
What kind of wine it is
The Toscana Rosso "Le Stanze" by Poliziano is a red wine made predominantly from Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot. This varietal combination defines a structured yet fresh wine, with an elegant aromatic profile. It represents an international expression alongside the estate’s indigenous varieties.
Where it comes from
The grapes come from vineyards in the municipality of Montepulciano, in Tuscany. Harvesting is carried out exclusively by hand, a choice that enables careful selection of the bunches destined for this label based on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
How it is made
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, with punch-downs integrated with pump-overs for twenty to twenty-five days. The wine then matures in barrique for sixteen months before bottling, a process that builds its structure and balance.
Tasting notes
It shows an intense garnet red color. On the nose, aromas of Morello cherry and blueberry open up, enriched by pleasant balsamic notes. On the palate it is fresh, balanced and structured, with sweet, silky tannins and a persistent finish.
Food pairings
This Toscana Rosso pairs perfectly with first courses featuring meat ragù and game. It also matches just as consistently with roasts, stews and aged cheeses, where its freshness balances the tannic component.
When to serve it
It is a versatile wine, suited to meat-based meals all year round, thanks to the balance between freshness and structure. It lends itself well both to convivial occasions and to more demanding pairings with game or braised dishes.
