Description
Sospetti is a young and lively red wine produced by Viticcio in Greve in Chianti, made from a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. The vineyards, located between 230 and 400 meters in altitude and exposed to the south-southwest, grow on clay soils with the presence of alberese and colombino stones.
The winemaking process involves alcoholic fermentation and maceration in stainless steel for 15-20 days at 26-30°C, with regular pump-overs and rack and return. Malolactic fermentation takes place in steel, followed by 12 months of aging also in steel, to preserve freshness and immediacy.
In appearance, it presents a bright ruby red. The nose is dominated by fruity notes of cherry and strawberry. The palate is soft and savory, with a good structure and a delicately persistent finish.
Ideal with cured meats, grilled meats, or first courses with light meat sauces.
