Ciliegiolo di Narni Brecciaro by Leonardo Bussoletti is a red wine that fully expresses the character of the Ciliegiolo grape, with a fresh, supple profile on the palate.
Where it comes from
It originates from vineyards located in Miriano in Narni and Colleozio in Sangemini, in the province of Terni, expressing the richness of the Umbrian terroir.
How it is made
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel with a fifteen-day maceration on the skins. This is followed by maturation, mostly in steel for twelve months and the remainder in large French oak casks for nine to twelve months. The process is completed by a further six to seven months in bottle after blending, to ensure perfect integration of flavors and aromas.
Tasting notes
It shows an intense ruby-red color. On the nose, clear fruity notes stand out with a predominance of jam. On the palate it is pleasantly fresh and supple.
What it pairs with
It pairs well with grilled red meats, braised dishes, and aged cheeses.
