Description

The Rosso L'U was born in the Lungarotti estate, in Umbria. The name emphasizes the link between the company and the territory, L'U as L'Umbria di Lungarotti.

This wine is made from Sangiovese, Merlot and other complementary blends, harvested between the end of September and the beginning of October. After a short maceration and the fermentation processes carried out in steel, the must is left to rise for eight / ten months in barriques. Refinement in glass follows for about ten months before being put on the market.

The U of Lungarotti shows a beautiful ruby red color and immediately offers a good aromatic intensity, with notes of morello cherry, sour cherry and fruit in the spirit that blend well with spicy hints of cocoa, coffee and vanilla, due to the wood. In the mouth it shows a good structure, supported by an interesting freshness and harmonic tannins.

It goes very well with very spicy creative foods based on pork or lamb, excellent with a good pizza and with mature and blue cheeses.
