Umbria IGT Sartiano 2014 Bigi

Sartiano is one of the flagships of the Bigi company. It is born in the vineyards located in the Corbara area and neighboring municipalities, in Umbria.

This wine is produced with Sangiovese and Merlot grapes, vinified in red separately. Maceration lasts about 10 days and is carried out at controlled temperatures of 25-26 ° C. After a fermentation in steel, the wine is left to rise in French barriques for about 10 months. It follows a refinement in the bottle for another 3 months, before being put on the market.

Sartiano has an intense ruby red color. The nose offers a rich and decisive scent of black berry fruit, which is accompanied by sensations of black cherry and spicy notes of vanilla, conferred by the barrique. and licorice. In the mouth it shows a great structure and a balanced and enveloping flavor that ends in a pleasant finish with a spicy background.

Excellent with roasted or grilled red meats, it also goes well with aged cheeses.
