Description

What type of wine is it

Valpolicella Classico Vintage Edition by Sartori di Verona is a red wine made from a blend of Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella and Croatina. The result is an easy-drinking red, crafted to showcase the varietal character of these native Venetian grapes in harmonious balance.

Where it comes from

The grapes come from vineyards in the Classico zone, on the hills north of Verona, an area historically suited to growing the region’s typical red varieties. The project bears the signature of Sartori di Verona.

How it is made

The grapes are gently crushed and undergo a maceration of eight to ten days at controlled temperature. Maturation continues for about six to eight months in large oak casks and in concrete and/or stainless-steel vessels, a combination that preserves the fruit’s freshness without weighing down the wine’s profile.

Tasting notes

It shows a ruby red color, tending to take on garnet hues with evolution. The nose is vinous and delicate, sometimes marked by hints of bitter almond. On the palate it is full and velvety.

Food pairing

Ideal with soups, pasta and risotto, it also pairs well with substantial red meat dishes and medium-aged cheeses.

When to serve it

Its full body and velvety texture make it suitable for main meals, from lunch to dinner. Serve at around 16–18°C to fully highlight its structure and aromas.
